Trying to give Thanksgiving and fall decor some time in my home before just skipping right to Christmas. I didn’t want to spend a lot of time and money on fall decorations this year, so I just recycled some Halloween items and crafted this felt mantle GIVE THANKS banner. Click below to see my super simple how-to.

Step 1:
Gather all your supplies. I used three sheets of felt, scissors, string, and scotch tape. You may need more felt depending on what you want your banner to say.

Step 2:
Roughly cut out felt squares the same size you want your letters to be. For me, I cut three sheets in half, and then in half again. Like so:

Step 3:
Lay out your letter color order. This is what I did:

Step 4:
Start cutting out your letters. I did mine freehand, but feel free to use a template or draw yours out with pencil.

Step 5:
I literally scotch taped my string to my mantle, and then scotch taped the letters to the string. That way, I could space things out the way I wanted. No clue if the tape will hold up, but I have a good feeling about it. I figure I could always go back with glue later.
TA-DA! The end result:

Hope you enjoyed this fast craft! Let me know if you end up doing something similiar! There are so many diffent colors you could use, and sayings you could make. Thinking about doing one for Christmas too!
